Bolter Miners
Once support and equipment variations are levelled out
any remaining variation in process rates was considered to result from the
effectiveness of process application at individual mines. The effect of
different mining and equipment configurations is also shown by Figures 13
– 17.
Firstly, the
utilisation of a bolter-miner at Mine E results in significantly higher process
rates than that achieved with a miner-bolter in the same panel at the mine,
while the installation of long roof tendons through the intersections in each
roadway significantly impact both continuous miner configurations.
