Excavation Methods
The construction method used is often decided by a contractor and accepted by the mine operator as part of the acceptance of a tender. If the mine has a preferred method for any reason, this would be specified in tender documents. With a "greenfield" site the mine is unlikely to have a preference but once operations have started effects on the operations have to be considered.
